ROOTED IN THE HATHOR HEKA SCHOOL BODY OF WORK
Inner Ground offers an embodied path of self-knowledge, transformation and deeper relationship with life, bringing body, psyche, soul and spirit back into conversation.
The body is where we begin: the ground through which we learn to listen, sense, feel and meet what is alive.
From this embodied foundation, we explore the beliefs, emotional patterns, protective structures and inherited conditioning that shape our experience.
We also open to the archetypal, symbolic and ritual dimensions of life, deepening our relationship with imagination, dreams, nature, the unseen and the greater field moving through us.
"This retreat is like a resuscitation. A life force revival! It is an opportunity to be stripped right back to the truth of life, to the sacred. You will leave more connected to yourself, to your divinity. It is a life change."

THE INNER GROUND
Inner Ground is the place within us from which we can meet life with greater presence, discernment and capacity.
It begins in the body.
Inner Ground is not about becoming a better version of yourself. It is about developing the capacity to be in deeper relationship with the fullness of who you already are.
ENTER THE WEEKEND RETREAT
THROUGH THIS WEEKEND, YOU WILL BE INVITED TO:
- Return to the body as a ground for awareness, presence and inner listening.
- Notice the beliefs, conditioning and protective patterns shaping your experience.
- Deepen your relationship with intuition, instinct, image, symbol and embodied knowing.
- Explore archetypal and ritual dimensions of experience in a grounded and experiential way.
- Reconnect with life force, creativity, voice and personal expression.
- Develop greater capacity to remain with yourself while in relationship with others.
- Create space for rest, silence, reflection and integration.
- Experience the foundational terrain of Inner Ground directly rather than only learning about it.
This weekend is an invitation to widen your field of awareness, deepen your capacity to listen, and become more available to what is moving through your body, psyche, relationships and life.
INTEGRAL BODY OF WORK
Hathor Heka is an integral journey through the somatic, psychological, archetypal, shamanic, and spiritual dimensions of experience.
The body is our ground and point of entry. From there, we widen the field of awareness, meet the inner structures shaping our lives, deepen our relationship with the natural and unseen worlds, and cultivate the capacity to remain present with what is alive.
The work is held through embodied practice, ritual, inquiry, movement, rest, nature, community, and direct experience.
SOMA
Returning to the body as the ground of awareness.
Through sensation, breath, movement, instinct, and embodied listening, we cultivate the capacity to recognise what is alive and remain in relationship with our experience.
PSYCHOLOGICAL & SHADOW INQUIRY
Exploring the beliefs, emotional patterns, protective structures, and inherited conditioning that shape how we perceive, relate, and participate in life.
ARCHETYPAL & MYTHIC WORK
Working with archetypes, myths, dreams, and symbolic imagery as living maps of the psyche and soul.
They help us recognise deeper patterns, forgotten capacities, and the forces moving through our personal and collective experience.
SACRED MOVEMENT, RITUAL & CEREMONY
Meeting movement and ritual as languages of transformation.
Through dance, symbol, intention, witnessing, and ceremony, we create pathways for expression, transition, remembrance, and integration.
SHAMANIC & ENERGETIC AWARENESS
Expanding perception beyond what is immediately visible.
We deepen our sensitivity to energy, nature, dreams, ancestral and archetypal fields, and the subtle intelligence moving through the body, the group, and the living world.
SILENCE, STILLNESS & MYSTERY
Honouring silence, rest, beauty, nourishment, and spaciousness as essential parts of transformation.
Integration allows what has been experienced to settle into the body and take form in the way we return to relationship and everyday life.
THE WEEKEND,
DAY BY DAY
Friday — Arrival, Landing & Opening Ritual
You will be welcomed into Āio Wīra and supported to settle into the land, the group and the rhythm of the weekend.
We begin by slowing down, arriving in the body, orienting inward and creating the conditions for presence, listening and participation.
After dinner, we will enter our first evening ritual, opening the field of the immersion and crossing the threshold from ordinary life into the deeper work of the weekend.
Saturday — Entering the Inner Ground
Saturday is the heart of the immersion.
Through somatic awareness, movement, archetypal exploration, relational practice and inner inquiry, we will begin to meet the patterns, needs, desires and inner movements that shape the way we relate to ourselves and to life.
There will also be space for nourishment, rest, nature and integration.
In the evening, we will gather again for a deeper ritual journey, allowing the work of the day to move through symbol, embodiment, ceremony and direct experience.
Sunday — Integration, Emergence & Return
On Sunday, we gather what has been experienced and begin to bring it into relationship with everyday life.
Through embodied integration, reflection and closing practice, we will listen for what wants to be carried forward.
The weekend completes at 4pm, with space to leave slowly and return to life from a more grounded place.
THE WHENUA
Held within the native forest of the Waitākere Ranges, Aio Wira offers a living landscape for retreat, listening, and transformation.
The river, waterfall, open spaces, sauna, and spa invite the body to soften into a slower rhythm and return to relationship with the natural world. The land is not simply the setting for the journey; it is part of the container, supporting rest, reflection, grounding, and a deeper experience of belonging.
NOURISHMENT
Nourishment is an essential part of the retreat experience.
Throughout the weekend, you will be offered abundant vegetarian meals, with vegan and gluten-free options, alongside tea and fresh fruit available during the day. The food is prepared with care to support the body, sustain the depth of the work, and bring pleasure, warmth, and beauty into the shared rhythm of retreat.
Tracey,
our Retreat Chef
Tracey is a Plant-Based Wholefood Chef with a deep love for creating food that is nourishing, abundant, colourful, and full of flavour.
A mother of four and grandmother of four, she understands the beauty of food that feels both wholesome and uncomplicated. Her cooking style is rustic, vibrant, generous, and designed to bring people together around the table.
Tracey’s relationship with plant-based food began early, and over the years her curiosity for ingredients, flavours, and wholefood cooking evolved into a true passion. She especially loves the ritual of preparing food for others and the sense of connection that can unfold through sharing a beautiful meal.
During the weekend, Tracey will be nourishing us throughout the journey with delicious plant-based meals created with care, creativity, and heart.
You can discover more of her work at The Reckless Foodie.
Nourishment as Part of the Journey
Nourishment is an essential part of the container. The way we eat, rest, receive, and care for the body directly supports our capacity to soften, listen, and enter more deeply into the practices.
Throughout the retreat, food becomes part of the ritual of slowing down, grounding us between sessions, supporting the nervous system, and offering moments of pleasure, connection, and restoration.
Our meals are created to be wholesome, abundant, colourful, and deeply nourishing, so that the body feels supported as we move through a rich journey of embodiment, inner exploration, ceremony, and transformation.
FOUNDER & LEAD FACILITATOR
SIA HU HEKA
Sia Hu Heka is a mother, somatic educator, ceremonialist, teacher, and founder of the Hathor Heka School.
For more than two decades, she has explored the meeting place between body, psyche, soul, movement, ritual, spirituality, and the unseen dimensions of life. Her work weaves somatic education, psychological inquiry, archetypal wisdom, sacred movement, shamanic practice, and direct experience of the sacred into an integral path of healing and awakening.
The body is the ground of Sia’s work, but not its limit. From embodied awareness, she supports individuals and groups to explore the beliefs, emotional patterns, protective structures, ancestral influences, and archetypal forces shaping their experience, while deepening their relationship with intuition, mystery, and the transpersonal.
Her facilitation is distinguished by deep listening, psychological sensitivity, embodied presence, spiritual discernment, and an ability to respond to the living intelligence of each person and group. Rather than imposing a predetermined outcome, she creates carefully held conditions in which transformation can emerge from within.
Through the Hathor Heka School, Sia brings this body of work into retreats, ceremonial spaces, and long-term journeys devoted to wholeness, sovereignty, relationship, and the remembrance of the organic self.
SUPPORT TEAM
This retreat is supported by women who are journeying through the Hathor Heka School and are continuing to deepen their relationship with its body of work.
They bring practical care, relational sensitivity, grounded presence, and a lived understanding of the body of work, supporting the integrity and rhythm of the container.
A CONTEMPORARY EMBODIED MYSTERY SCHOOL AND CULTURAL MOVEMENT
Hathor Heka is devoted to healing, awakening, and the remembrance of the organic self.
Transformation cannot be sustained through information alone. It must be lived through the body, integrated through relationship, and given form through the way we participate in life.
Across its three-year journey, the school works with somatic awareness, psychology, archetypal inquiry, ritual, dreamwork, creativity, relational practice, and direct experience of the sacred.
These teachings are living maps, inviting each person to listen, feel, question, discern, and discover what is true within their own experience.

“A calling home”
“This Retreat was a calling home, a reconnection I had been longing for. I attended my first retreat with Sia in 2023, and it awakened a remembering within me that changed my life in ways I could never have anticipated.
The depth of the journey is both raw and beautiful. Sia holds and guides the space with deep attunement, presence, and love.”

“I was able to see myself more fully”
“It was such a powerful experience to tune into myself with full permission and acceptance for so many days in a row. To step away from the noise of the outside world and have the time and space to unfold, held within an open, loving, and compassionate field of sisterhood, was deeply moving.
Sia holds space with profound intuition, listening and responding to the energies of each moment. There is an ancient subtlety to her magic unlike anything I have experienced.”

“I choose slow. This is the way.”
“Spaciousness. Clarity. Presence. Heartfelt connection. Belonging. A new way of being.
Sia’s soft voice still returns to me, reminding me to slow down, tread lightly upon the earth, listen to her whispers, and remain in awe of her beauty. So much beauty.
I now move through my days in a completely different way, more present, more grounded, and less willing to be swept into the fast current of modern life.
I notice the signs. I dance in the rain. I turn the shower cold. I wake earlier to feel the earth beneath my feet. I know now that peace begins within me, true inner peace.
This retreat was the deep dive my soul had been waiting for: an initiation, a remembrance, and a homecoming.
I am so grateful that I answered the call.”
